Derek Atkinson, not happy with the performance of his FZR1000, had a peek under the head and found some burnt out valves. For his trouble, a sharp edge on the head gasket sliced deep into his index finger forcing a postponement on repairs until finger is sufficiently healed.
FZR punter Warrick Piper is heading North! Unfortunately his employer is transferring Warwick & Kim up to Brisbane for the foreseeable future. Still he has researched the area and found there are enough "good" roads up there to ensure his bikes will move with him.
I received this email from Dianne Welsford. "Could you please put something in the next magazine about the new TV show every Tuesday night at 7.30pm on Channel 9 called Dream Home as my cousin is in it and whichever team gets the most votes gets to keep the house! It works like this in case you haven't seen it: Two couples have been chosen (both with 4 kids and who were renting tiny houses), who have to renovate these two old houses put on adjoining blocks in Melton with a budget of $100,000 each. Each week on the show a room is finished, and two phone numbers are given to vote for which house you prefer, the red team's or the blue team's. The BLUE team is the Welsfords and they would REALLY APPRECIATE any extra votes! (You can still vote the next day if you have trouble getting through!) Of course you are free to maybe prefer the Red team's one week, however, please don't register any votes for them! Thanks from the Welsfords!"
