DECEMBER MEETING MINUTES

Thursday 2nd

Open Meeting: 8.34 pm

Present: 29 members and friends in attendance.

Visitors Ian welcomed ex-members: - Steve & Sue, Mark Dennis and Davorin.

Apologies: Danny Vits

Secretary Report: Contents of PO Box sorted & relevant items read by Ben : -

Broadford 99, Geelong Sprints and VicRoads-New Road Rules.

Treasurer’s Report: As at end of November approx. $2900 in the bank.

Captains’ Report Past and forthcoming rides previewed by T. Kalkandis and Ian Payne.

General Business:

Ian informed the group about the Free Club BBQ on 11^th of December at Fairfield Park, the BBQ is provided FREE to members with a small charge for non-members.
Our Christmas Camp will once again be at Mt.Buffalo Caravan Park, Porepunkah. Unpowered sites have been booked for the period between Boxing Day and New Years Day.
There is NO January meeting but a newsletter will be posted out to members with details of the new itinerary.
The January Social Sip will be the LAST at the Canada Hotel.

Guest Speaker:

Steve Howden from Tiger Angel gave an informative talk about his efforts to establish an Australian

Standard for motorcycle clothing. He also gave members an insight on how to assess good quality

construction of clothing and showed a set of race leathers that had survived a 275kph crash. Steve

then explained how over the previous 3 years he has compiled a paper on the appropriate tests and

ratings for motorcycle sports wear and how he hopes it would be adopted by the industry.
