October 2000 General Meeting Minutes
Open Meeting: 8:35pm, Thursday 5th October
Present: 13 members and friends in attendance.
Visitors Kathy Robinson.
Apologies: Wayne Grant, Danny Vits & Ray Walker.
Secretary Report:
Contents of PO Box sorted & relevant items read by Ben: WIMA Rally (18/11), Lions BBQ, Scavenger Hunt flyer and Western Yamaha ‘Sale’.Treasurer’s Report: $1917.09 in bank.
Captains’ Report Past and forthcoming rides previewed by Ian Payne.
General Business: The new Social Sip venue is the Elgin Hotel in Hawthorn. See you there on October 19th.
The Cup Weekend in November will be to Orbost, Bombala & Walwa; contact Ben to reserve your place.
Christmas to New Years will be at Porpunkah, 3 sites have been booked. Contact Ian for details.
Just a reminder that there is no organized ride to Phillip Island for the GP. We will have a run up to the Buxton pub on the Sunday.
Due to lack of attendance at the meetings and social sips, a discussion on reducing the number of meetings took place. Committee will discuss further but a decision must be made quickly as we need to advise the council of our requirements for this hall for next year.
Door Prize: No prizes so no draw!
Close Meeting: 9.15pm. Due to no supper being available meeting finished early and most headed up to the Camberwell McDonalds for coffee & cake.
