September 2000 General Meeting Minutes
Open Meeting: 8:39 pm, Thursday 7th
Present: 17 members and friends in attendance.

Secretary Report: Contents of PO Box sorted & relevant items read by Ben: -
VMAC "A road builders guide to motorcyclists safety", Flyer ‘Bikes along the Bay", and Asian Experience Bike Ride.
Treasurer’s Report: $1976.80 in bank.
Captains’ Report Past and forthcoming rides previewed by Ray Walker and Ian Payne.
General Business: Ian reminded members that our annual Auction is on tonight.
The September Social Sip will be on Thursday 21st and not the 14th as on the itinerary, and, as from October, the venue will be the Elgin Hotel in Hawthorn.
The October/January itinerary is now available; please take some. This itinerary includes the Cup Weekend in November where we will travel to Orbost, Bombala & Walwa. For the Christmas to New Years Day period we will once again be at Porpunkah and the Aust. Day Long Weekend in January will see us exploring the Snowy Mountains area of NSW.
Western Yamaha in Braybrook are having a 10 — 50% off Sale on Friday the 13th of October.
Australian Superbike Championships are on this weekend at Phillip Island. Apart from the usual racing there will be a Legends Race where the likes of Rob Phillis, Mal Campbell, and Andrew Johnson etc will don the leathers!
Ex member and serious racer Tony Schrader crashed his TZ250 at Winton recently and broke his collarbone!

Auction: A variety of goods were then auctioned off to the value of $142.
