I told Ken I would do this week's article due to the lack of show of hands.
Well what a great turn out. 15 riders in all with the five first timers
with the Club, which was welcome due to the rest of the regular club riders away
at the Snowys. It was also my first ride back
with the Club in some time as I've been teaching my son how to ride MotoX. Thought I'd make the most of having a licence
as it may be taken away soon as I was allegedly 40 km/h over on the Black Spur
approximately three weeks ago. Yes, police hiding in the bushes with
laser guided radars. Aren't they wonderful! Anyway, back to the
ride.
First leg from Berwick was
through Gembrook, then on to
Ken decided to head home the same way due to the bush rangers with radars. That's presuming they were set up on the Black Spur. All in all, it was a great day with no incidents. Great lead by Ken!

Email from Ken Goederee after the ride: Just as a point of interest. Much to my surprise, some guy on a thirty year old BMW overtook all of us through the Reefton Spur. At the top, where we took a picture, I invited him to tag along and gave him a card. He then joined us for lunch at Marysville and on the way back across the Reefton he passed us all again! Fortunately, one of our regular guys (Sam Sirianni …Ed.) (second from right front in picture) on his R1 went past me, hauled him in, and then overtook him, just to keep the Club’s reputation intact!
It just shows if you can ride, you can ride. When I looked at his bike, it was quite amazing really. Cheers, Ken. Sorry I’m not very good with all the names. Oh, and the cops were up the top, same place as last time.
