Comments
The road from Forrest in the midst of the Otway Ranges down to Skenes
Creek on the Great Ocean Road is a fantastic experience. The bitumen
plunges into tunnels of ferny greenery, before blasting out along
ridges with the most spectacular scenery, the Tasman Sea as a backdrop,
while valleys of verdent green drop away on both sides, before plunging
again into another ferny tunnel, and finally winding down a steep slope
overlooking the Tasman Sea. Absolutely magical!
The road is of high quality, with plenty of room, good solid edges and
curves at ideal and consistent radii. There are the occasional glossy
patches on corners, but these are easily avoided with a good line, but
otherwise the road is consistently grippy. An absolute must see. The
best way to travel this road if you want classic views is from Forrest
down to Skeene's Creek, otherwise just enjoy a good blast!
