Road Conditions Reporting Line: 9854-2899 where motorcyclists can report road conditions and give suggestions for improvement on any road in Victoria.

Lyn Duncan has traded in her yellow and black GSXR750T for a new GSXR1000 and has been seen on a couple of Club rides already. Her partner Eddie has also traded in his CBR250RR for an R6.

Dave Ward is the proud owner of a near new 2000 model Ducati 996 SPS - one with the lot: Ohlins rear shocker, Ohlins front forks (gold sliders etc), Ohlins steering damper, carbon fiber everywhere, twin injectors, close ratio gear box, beefed up clutch, 207 kg wet, the ultimate dream bike. When Dave finishes polishing it and the weather is fine he "might" bring it out on a Club ride.

Bronwyn Manifoid is looking to buy a new (second hand) Ducati Monster.

Club Participant of the Year closed at the end of April. Points were awarded for attending a ride or function such as a Club Meeting or Social Sip (1 point), leading a ride (extra point) and doing rear riding duties (extra point), as well as for writing contributions for the Club Magazine (limit 2 points per magazine). Ben Warden has snuck past Ian who missed the last six Club events while building his legendary pergola. See elsewhere for the last third of the year ride points and your final score.

Seen at the new format Meeting/Social Sip on April 5^th were Ron and Julie Johnston, Ben and Julie Warden, Rhys Williams, Ian Payne, Ray Walker, Bruce Saville, Ric Brabbin, Jon Riddett, Dianne Welsford, Davorin Zivkovic, Wayne Grant, Verity Mayo, Rob Matricciani, Mandy Flower, Derek Atkinson, Kathy Robinson, Jon Francey and Danny Kosinski. A total of 20 members and friends. There was some confusion when Ian rang to see if the renovations had been completed. "No" was the unexpected answer. Notices were hastily appended to the side door to redirect members to the next pub east which turned out to be quite satisfactory. Alas, Lyn and Eddie having arrived very early holed up in the next pub west, and we never caught up with them.

"The Reefton Spur ride on March 4^th had its fair share of crashes with 3 of our group failing to make it through unscathed! Jeff Hornby — ZX6, etc" is what I wrote last month. The ANZAC Day ride to the Reefton Spur saw Jeff crash on the Reefton Spur again, this time a couple of corners further on. Minor cosmetic damage once again. Bike rideable and he continued on with the group.

Dave Nimmo riding a GSXR750L with "M" body work has joined our illustrious Club. We wish him many happy rides and good fortune. Mum and Dad (Wayen and Joanne) ride the Hayabusa.

Don't forget after the May meeting we will revert back to the Elgin Hotel for our June meeting/social sip. Note: if the Elgin is still undergoing renovations in June we will proceed to their recommended pub just down the road at the "Whitehorse Inn".

Bradley Cain has replaced his Reefton crash damaged TRX850 with a low mileage Suzuki TL1000S and has been on a Club ride on it. He loves it.

Rob Langer had at least 10 mm of freeplay at the back wheel on his BMW R1100 Sport. It was traced to an under-size bolt in the rear Ohlin shock linkage which has since been bushed. Tracing handling problems is now much easier resulting in the rear spring being replaced with a stiffer one.

The Club has a new post office box number. Our new postal address is PO Box 4132, Melbourne University PARKVILLE VIC 3052. Our old one will still work for a year or so.
