Progressive
Dinner 2002 Saturday 16th March.
This
had been our first progressive dinner for a couple of years and it varied
slightly from previous years in that we would not have starters at a member’s
home but at Carlucci’s Restaurant in Templestowe. This would simplify the night
and save money.

Dianne,
who had organised this event, was also our leader, but was unable to join us
for starters as she and Bron were at Heathmont
preparing the main course. She had asked Tim to lead the group from Carlucci’s to Rob and
Mandy’s home.

Just after 7.30pm, Dianne gathered the group together for the trip down to Springvale
where their “sweet tooth” was indulged with cheesecake and trifle.

All to soon it was time to depart and so at 9.30 pm, Dianne again called
the group together and they headed to Oakleigh where a yummy supper was
enjoyed. Just after everyone had left Springvale, Rob and Kirsten arrived and,
although a bit rushed, still had time for some dessert, before rushing off to
Dave and Bron's. With everyone now quite content and
relaxed the socialising went late into the night.

Special
thanks to Dianne, Bron and Kerrie for their efforts
in providing such fabulous food for us to enjoy. Special mention to Bronwyn for “soldiering
on” even though she had felt quite ill during the day. Thanks also to our hosts
who provided their homes for us to use for this unique Club event.
A
big thankyou to Dianne for organising this social event.
And
thanks also to the twenty-three members and friends who came along and made
this night the success it deserved. Just over $100 profit went to the Club’s
coffers.
