The new itinerary for February to May is now
available.
The location for the Yarra Glen pickup has been
amended to the “Original Café”. This shop owner will hand out itineraries and
promote the Club in response to the inclusion of his business name on our itinerary
card.
Due to low attendances on some previous long weekend
trips, the Club will only have a day ride for this year’s long Labour Day weekend.
For Easter we will conduct rides on the Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
As ANZAC
day falls on a Thursday we will hold a 4-day ride to Orbost and Walwa.
Progressive
Dinner mid
March.
Although
our Name Change has proceeded quite well there is still some fine-tuning to be
done. Just Bikes and Motorcycle Trader have incorrectly advertised the Club.
At the
last committee meeting the “points system” was discussed and a proposal put
forward that participants on long weekends etc receive “one point per day” instead
of the one point in total.
Much
discussion followed with the consensus either to leave as is or allocate 2
points for a weekend away. Committee to discuss.
Rob Langer made a point regarding the Club’s website
and the need to include “crash statistics” on previous rides. This could be
off-putting for prospective members - Committee to discuss. Also some members are
having difficulty accessing the site. Login and password spelling clarified.
