April 2004 MSTCV Itinerary
Sunday 4th Walhalla Paul
Southwell leading
10am Hallam
Formerly
advertised as Licola (long distance, high incident count), this ride has been
shortened considerably and loses its ‘experienced riders only’ rating. Back roads to Moe for morning tea, then into the twisties and on to
the historic gold mining town of
Friday 9th
to Mon 12th 10am West Gate Shell Servo
See Who’s News for details. Sounds fantastic. Bookings essential. Contact Ron on 9725-7303
Sunday 11th Eildon Ian Payne leading
10am Whittlesea
Join Ian for a leisurely ride on Easter Sunday if you can’t make it
to the
Sunday 18th Mirboo North via Willow Grove Rob Langer leading
10am Yarra Glen
The recently widened and resurfaced Willow Grove twisties heading out of Noojee are excellent motorcycling country, with visibility much better in this direction. First stop Noojee for the ride chasers and maybe a bite to eat. Then on to Mirboo North and a myriad of possibilities. Not sure how we’ll head home but suspect we’ll come up from Drouin to Powelltown and break-up at Yarra Junction.
Sunday 25th Marysville
Bakery Dave
Ward leading
10am Yarra Glen
Dave will be on his sensual matte black MV Augusta 750 SPR which has just received rave reviews in Australian Motorcycle News. A short ride to ensure Dave and Bronwyn get back to work in time to bake our daily bread. Suspect single stop at Warburton for a splash of fuel, then around to Marysville for lunch and break-up. Around 110 km for the day.
May 2004
Sunday 2nd Walhalla Ron
Johnston leading
10am Hallam
I’m sure Ron will find an alternative route to Paul’s earlier Walhalla Ride. And even if he doesn’t, the weather will not be the same and the roads are good, no matter what. Ron’s rides are normally pretty hectic, especially now that he is back on the big Bandit, restored to pristine condition, and looking for action. Expect around 400 km for the day if we pick up the Tyers loop. Not for the feint hearted.
Thurs. 8th Annual General Meeting,
Catch up with the gossip, collect
your magazine, view a short digital slide show of rides this year and maybe see
yourself on the big screen.
At the May Annual General Meeting, members have the opportunity to nominate
themselves or another member to go on the Committee. If you have any special
skills that could benefit the Committee or you would just like to be part of a
select group that plans the upcoming rides and then goes out for a pizza, then
put your nomination in now. You wouldn’t sit on the back of your bike with
someone else steering; here is your chance to steer your bike club.
