point for leading or being rear rider, and 1 point per Magazine article
(maximum 2 per Magazine). Attending one or more days of a weekend event scores
3 points for leading, 3 for rear riding duties and 2 points for

MV
Augusta reliability issues?
Getting ready for Towong, Bronwyn Manifold’s
MV750 Brutale was in for a service when the rear
wheel bearing was checked and noted to be defective. To their credit, MotoOne air freighted a complete wheel and hub down from
The nominal maintenance interval for replacement of the bearings is
36,000 km according to the manual, and is 24,000 km according to Paul Feeney,
the Australian importer. The Brutale’s failed at 12,100 km and Dave’s SPR at 13,100
km. There is also likely to be damage to
the sprockets and chain on Dave’s bike which will be picked up under warranty.
Note: Darryn W. MV750 bearings are also to be
replaced.
New Bike: Darryn Webster has acquired a
new black Kawasaki ZX6 which is a superb road machine with all the bells and
whistles including a slipper clutch, wave disks, radial calipers, close ratio
gear box, under-seat exhaust, 115 horsepower at the rear wheel (136@crank), and
is relatively comfortable.
