Hi to all members of the Club.

I received the invitation to the 50^th Birthday of the club party. As much as I would like to be there, I will not be able to make it. Just for the record, I will say why.

In the list of members there is no date when I joined the club. In checking my records I could not find the exact date but was able to find it was between late 1959 early 1962. I was made a Life Member at the February meeting in 1970. The club was called the White Horse Scooter Club when I joined.

My scooter was the last one in the club when the bikes took over. I got my Honda CD175 bike in April 1971. The older members will remember this bike. I traded it in for a Honda Bari 100cc scooter in 1998. It was not put on the Club register, and is now for sale.

I cancelled my drivers licence on 9^th April 2005 because of the condition of my eyes. With my own material knowledge I cancelled . It was not safe to drive.

This put an end to my motorcycling. I passed my 89^th birthday this month which made it 80 years on two wheels. Pedal cycles first then motorcycles. No serious crashes, only the ones where you drop the bike, pick it up again, swear at it and get going again with little if any damage.
