Sunday 4th Reefton
Spur via St Andrews Joel Haley leading

From Yarra
Glen we’ll head to Christmas Hills, across to Panton
Hill and up the St Andrews Road
to Kinglake before working our way back across to Healesville and down to
Warburton for morning tea after 105 km. Depending on the weather, a quick
squirt up Mt Donna Buang may be an option. We’ll
press on to the Reefton and down to Marysville (65 km, lunch) before making our
way back to Healesville to break up. The chance of snow up around the Lake Mountain
turnoff is a real possibility this time of year. Expect around 240 km for the
day. Wear warm gear, no matter what the forecast.
Sunday 11th Highlands Paul Southwell

Up to Kinglake
West and on to Flowerdale via the slippery and dangerous road to Yea. Left towards Seymour picking up the Highlands road. Look for the gravel mid-corner
near the top. Left to Seymour
for morning tea / early lunch. On to Pyalong, Emu
Flat and the Burke and Wills Track down to Lancefield for lunch #2. Options
abound from here depending on weather and enthusiasm. One option is to head
back to Pyalong and pick up the best bits of the Seymour Road before turning right at the
45 km/h corner and working our way across to Broadford and Strath Creek to
break up at Kinglake West. Expect around 310 km for the day with good roads and
1.3 km of hard packed dirt near Emu Flat.
Sunday 18th Lavers

drinks this route as he commutes between Portland
and Melbourne
to pick up the Sunday rides. Expect to traverse the established route of Lara
and Moriac (1st stop) and then on to Deans Marsh, Lorne, Apollo Bay
and Lavers Hill for lunch at 1 pm. Back to Melbourne
via Apollo Bay, Forrest, Deans Marsh and the Moriac
loop breaking up at Lara. Expect 500 km door to door. Suit experienced riders.
Sunday 25th Mt Bunninyong Fire Tower Geoff Jones leading

Flowerdale, Strath Creek, Broadford, Highcamp,
Lancefield, Carlsruhe first stop to visit
Nigel. Then on to Springhill, Daylesford, Spargo
Creek, Gordon and Bunninyong for lunch, checking out
the fire tower and koalas en-route. Back to Ballan, Greendale, Myrniong and Bacchus Marsh to break up at
Diggers Rest on the Calder Hwy. Lots of interesting and different roads.
Around 340 km for the day.

Cape Liptrap (Gippsland) Ben

Liptrap is
the southernmost point of the peninsula west of Wilson’s Promontory. There is a lighthouse reached
via a few kilometers of dirt. Depending on the participants and weather we may
stop at the dirt. Morning tea will be Loch if you are running late. We’ll lunch at Walkerville
after negotiating a mixture of roads tending to more open country the further
south we go. After checking out the lighthouse we’ll head north to Fish Creek,
Meeniyan, Mirboo North and Trafalgar with multiple options depending on the
available light. Expect around 450 km for the day with some dirt. This ride
will not suit inexperienced riders or those on their first Club ride.
