Weather perfect for a day on the bike and socialising!

Well, I will start by saying I don't normally do write ups (this is my first!) but I couldn't say no. So it will be brief. Sorry Ha.

After a quick rider briefing we left Whittlesea and headed to Kinglake. At the roundabout in Kinglake where I was corner marking two riders went the wrong way. I knew they would come back when they realised the error of their ways (someone was in front of them, now they are not). This took a couple of minutes before they came back.

Then it was off to Healesville via Chum Creek Road. From Healesville we went to Warburton via the back roads. I haven't been on the Old Warburton Highway for at least 10 years. It was that long ago because Tom, Andy and Jack Youdan, to mention a few, were on that ride. The road had a lot of leaf litter but it’s still a nice bit of road.

We stopped at Warburton for a coffee and chat before heading off to the winery via Cockatoo and back through Woori Yallock.

Ian, Kerrie and Dave were already there with Kate and John arriving a little later. We were seated outside with spectacular views of the valley and surrounding hills. There was a slight problem with the pesky little black flies but thanks to Karen who asked for the Aeroguard, this was fixed. The food and wine arrived and an enjoyable afternoon was had by all.

Thanks Ha, for organising and leading a great day out.
