Sunday 8th
Cardinia Dam and Lake Mountain

am Berwick
We'll head out through the back of McDonalds and pick up Kangan Road around to Beaconsfield. Cross the highway, and head up to Upper Beaconsfield and Cardinia Dam to check the water level. If the conditions are good, we'll take the short cut across the dirt and work our way up to Cockatoo, Macclesfield and Seville for morning tea. Then off across to Warburton and up Mt Donna Buang - photo at the top. Back to the Warburton and the tricky Old Warburton Road back to Yarra Junction. Then down to Powelltown and Noojee for a late lunch. Last stop Longwarry North via the Neerims and Jindivick. Expect around 270 km for the day.
Sunday 15th Coalville (near Moe) Cliff Peters leading
10 am Berwick
Leg 1: We will take the normal route to Moe via Longwarry North, Jindivick, Crossover and the Old Sale Road. Then on to Willow Grove and around to Moe for morning tea after travelling 115 km. Leg 2: On to Coalville, Narracan, and McDonalds Track to Mirboo North. Then Allambee South, Hallston, Arawata (including 3km of dirt) to Korumburra after 92 km. Lunch and fuel. Leg 3: After lunch we will head around to Loch via Kongwak, Archies Creek, Glen Forbes, Kernot, and Loch for afternoon tea after 75 km. Leg 4: Poowong, Ranceby to finish at Drouin close to the freeway, another 60 km. Expect around 340 km for the day. Ride will not suit inexperienced riders; not recommended for first time Club riders.
Sunday 22nd
Lavers Hill via Great Ocean Road Dennis Lindemann leading

Note early start. The route will encompass the normal MSR back roads to reach Moriac after 100 km travelling through Little River, Lara and Batesford, bypassing Geelong. After morning tea we'll head for Deans Marsh, Beech Forest and Turtons Track (narrow, very windy, always wet road through rain forest) to Lavers Hill for lunch, a further 120 km. With the temperature hovering around 14 degrees, a cup of hot pumpkin soup will go down well. Petrol costs about $1.47 a litre or 20 cents above Melbourne prices - the tourist tax you pay for having fun. Homeward bound: Apollo Bay, Forest, Dean's Marsh, Moriac (regroup), then breakup at Lara after 400 km. Be there. Ride will not suit inexperienced riders; not recommended for first time Club riders.
Sunday 29th Daylesford Cliff Peters leading
10 am Whittlesea
Leg 1: Whittlesea, Flowerdale, Strath Creek, Broadford, Pyalong, Lancefield for morning tea (117km). Leg 2: Burke and Wills Track to Kyneton, Green Hill, Metcalf, Castlemaine for lunch and fuel (83 km). Leg 3: Fryerstown, Vaughan, Guilford, Franklinford, Shepherds Flat, Hepburn Springs, Daylesford (almost), Glenlyon, Spring Hill, Little Hampton, Trentham break (94 km). Trentham Bakery closes at 2.30pm so if we are later the "Cool Country Tavern" would be happy to serve us coffee, etc. There is a nice log fire to warm by and plenty of seating. Leg 4: Woodend, Macedon twisty bits, Hesket, Bolinda, Clarkefield onto Bulla (71km). Home via the Calder Freeway. Expect 370 km for the day.

Inverloch. Leg 3: Inverloch, Kongwak, Loch, Poowong, Drouin. If
time permits the ride will include a loop through Jindivick loop. Expect 300 km
for the day.
