This ride was great fun with lots of tight and bigger corners, not to mention the sweepers as well. We had a first time rider with us, Pierre, who, like all new riders, got taken on roads that he hadn’t been on before. That’s a pretty good reflection of our Club. When I was researching for the pillion ride I led a couple of months ago, I realised just how challenging it really was to find a new good road that the Club hadn’t been on yet; near impossible, in fact.
A few things stuck in my head and made me grin on this ride.
· Coming to the top of each hill heading towards Jindivick. Although you can kind of work out which direction the road is going to veer towards on the other side of the hill by scanning the tree line, it doesn’t stop you from sucking in a bit of air and feeling a whoosh when you do go over the top.
· Watching a green flash fly past me several times after he finished each corner mark. Yes, Cliffy was loving it J On fie-yah!
· Ben’s effortless, smooth, consistent and speedy pace, regardless of whether it was a straight road or corner. I couldn’t help but hate him a little bit for it too though—in a nice way J
·
Sorry Dennis! I know I offered to do the write up, but unfortunately, this is the lamest of the lot. Thank you for taking us on a fabulous trail, and thanks also to Ivan for rear riding.
