Leg 3: Depending on the weather we can either head back direct to Yea (afternoon tea) via Gin Gin, Highlands, Yea and over Junction Hill to break up at King Lake West after 125 kms. All up 325 kms. If the weather is good we may travel up the highway to Violet Town, then 24 kms of old highway and freeway back down to Strathbogie and then back the way we came to Yea and over Junction Hill to King Lake West, a revised total of 383 kms.

Sunday 16th   Licola and Wellington River                                                                 Peter Feistl leading

10 am Berwick

From Berwick we'll make our way to Longwarry, Jindivick, Old Sale Road, Yallourn North and Tyers for fuel. If you fuel here you will not need to get any at Licola, the round trip of 210 km just in range for most bikes. Next we will head down the 16 km of highway to Toongabbie and around through Seaton and Licola for lunch. The 23 km detour up to the Wellington River is optional but worth the trip. The return route will retrace our steps back to Tyers to break up at Longwarry North. Expect around 380 km for the day. Ride will not suit inexperienced riders; not recommended for first time Club riders.

Sunday 23rd    Reefton Spur                                                                                       Ben Warden leading

10 am Yarra Glen

When I had dark brown hair, I used to lead rides which others referred to as Ben's Twisties. This ride may qualify. The route includes Myers and Chum Creek Roads to Healesville and around to Warburton for morning tea after 75 km. Then up and down Mt Donna Buang, depending on fog density, across the Reefton and down to Marysville Bakery for lunch after a further 120 km. Then up the Acheron Way till the dirt before back tracking across the Black Spur to finish at the Healesville Bakery after a further 55km. We may have to fuel up at Warburton to make it right around unless card only access fuel in Marysville is to your liking.

Sunday 30th    Glen Forbes (Loch area)                                                                    Henry Wright leading

10 am Berwick

Route will be via Lang Lang, morning tea at Loch, lunch in Wonthaggi, finish Drouin. Estimated 320km.

Sunday 6th      Snake Valley                                                                                          Geoff Jones leading

10 am Whittlesea

The plan is to head out through Eden Park (eight consecutive corners) to Wallan, Romsey, Woodend and around the back way to Trentham for morning tea. Then on to Spring Hill, Glenlyon, Daylesford, Blampied, Creswick and the Ballarat servo and Subway for fuel and lunch. Expect it to be very cold. Wear your full wet weathers just to keep the wind chill at bay. Then on to Snake Valley and Linton through the gold rush diggings before turning east and heading for home picking up Mt Mercer, Meredith and the Brisbane Ranges to break up on the outskirts of Werribee. Great, hand picked roads. Expect an easy 375 km for the day. No sun glare today as we'll have the sun at our backs for most of the day.
