Whittlesea
This is an easy ride suitable for pillion passengers, first time riders,
and P-platers. It might be a bit far for Learners. The ride is intended to be
gentle and tolerable for our better halves. The route is Whittlesea,
Flowerdale, Broadford - first stop after 70 km through
the fire/flood ravaged countryside. Then Glenaroua, Seymour, Mitchellstown and Chateau Tahbilk for lunch. Keep
your eye out for kangaroos. Home via a more direct route
early afternoon. Tahbilk Winery offers a marvellous setting overlooking
the river, with excellent, reasonably priced food. Note: a 1.5 km long,
hard-packed dirt driveway meanders through the vineyard to the Chateau. Expect
around 250km for the day. Note: If travelling directly to the winery,
please advise Dennis on 0425 802 031 (text is fine) to assist in booking tables
