will be incorporated into the ride after lunch and then 62km back to
Eildon for fuel (total 234km).
Leg 4:
Over Skyline and through Fraser National Park to Alexandra.
Then on to Molesworth, Yea and Glenburn to finish at Kinglake (99km).

After lunch we'll head south down the highway to Tooborac
branching off to Emu Flat, Pyalong, Lancefield, Romsey and Wildwood Road to
finish at Bulla. (110km) A myriad of interesting back
roads with lots of ancient volcanic scenery.

Route:
Leg 1:
It's 55 km of mainly boring highway to Drouin before the start of
great roads through central Gippsland. First stop Korumburra after
96km for morning tea.
Leg 2:
Then we'll head south towards Wilson's Prom
through Buffalo, Fish Creek and Foster, now running parallel with the
Princes Highway to Toora where we will check out the massive wind
turbines. Then on to Agnes Falls which should have plenty of water
flowing over the top. Great roads to Welshpool before a smidge of
highway to Yarram for lunch after 155km.
Leg 3:
Then up to Balook and Tarra
Bulga National Park along the technically challenging scenic ridge
road before dropping down to Churchill and Trafalgar after 113km.
Leg 4:
The last leg will pick up the Old Sale Road to Longwarry North to finish
at Officer South after another 80km.

to Redesdale, Knowsley, across the Dam Wall at Lake Eppalock and back to
Mia Mia on back roads before lunching at Heathcote opposite the bakery
after another 129m.
Leg 3:
After lunch we'll head south down the highway to Tooborac
branching off to Emu Flat, Pyalong, Lancefield, Romsey and Wildwood Road to
finish at Bulla. (110km) A myriad of interesting back
roads with lots of ancient volcanic scenery.

Typically we make a four day weekend out of the Tuesday public
holiday to take advantage of the great location and the time and
distance required to get there. The plan is to ride up Saturday,
ride around the mountains Sunday and Monday and then ride home on
Tuesday. This means three night's accommodation. You'll need to take
annual leave for the Monday.

Ben will bring the troops down to Moriac to meet up with the leader
and the other Geelong locals.
Leg 2:
Next stop Lavers Hill via Turton's very
twisty Track which cuts off 40km according to Cliff. If it is closed
(trees across the road, landslips etc) then we'll go via Apollo Bay to
Lavers Hill.
Leg 3:
Port Campbell for lunch and then another 20km to visit
the spectacular Bay of Islands (literally a bay of "Twelve Apostle"
style islands) which is more photogenic than the very touristy
Twelve Apostles.
Leg 4:
Back to Port Campbell for fuel and then up to Simpson
for a coffee break. Next stop Carlyle River and the Shoe Tree for a
photo, before pushing on to Dean's Marsh for regroup at
the coffee shop.
Leg 5:
Last hop to Moriac and Batesford to finish near the Geelong by-pass.
Expect around 530 km for the day. Good tyres essential.
